Ignite Launches its Annual Fundraising Campaign
Ignite Families and Friends,
We are grateful to you for your continued support of our school; it simply wouldn’t be possible for us to be as successful as we are without you!
We want to be sure that we are able to continue to offer high-quality learning opportunities for our students, while at the same time ensuring that none of our families encounter barriers to accessing any of our programs due to financial constraints. This includes access to mental health supports and basic needs being met.
SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS – WITHOUT LEAVING THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN HOME!
We invite you to support one or more upcoming fundraising events – without having to leave the comfort of your own home! Not unlike other schools that engage in fundraising events, the support of our Ignite families and friends is priceless. If each Ignite family and friend was able to give $50 (or more), we would be well on our way to reaching our goal of $25,000 by the end of December, and $50,000 by the end of the school year. We successfully raised $25,000 last year, which was awesome!

THERE ARE MANY WAYS YOU CAN SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS:
- NOW: Our ongoing virtual bottle drive; SkipTheDepot will come and pick up your bottles and 100% of the funds go to our school: app.skipthedepot.com/ignite
- COMING SOON: Our “Created By Kids” campaign will be launched starting the week of November 16th! Keep an eye out for information about how you can purchase a variety of personalized items, with our students’ artwork on them. Great for holiday gifts!
- LATER IN NOVEMBER: Giving Tuesday: November 28th – This coming Giving Tuesday, we’re proud to be participating in a global day of giving! Please consider making a donation to our campaign. Every little bit helps and we are so grateful for your support!
- Our donation page is a great go-to for donations at any time of year.
Please note that we rely on our fundraising efforts to help close the gap in funding we receive from Alberta Education as an independent school. We receive 30% less funding than public/separate schools do each year and no funding for increased supports for students who come to us with exceptional/special needs.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
In addition to feeling a sense of giving back to our learning and teaching community, as incentive for your contribution(s), we are going to provide the following:
- If you raise $100, you receive one of our fabulous Ignited mugs or water bottles from our Ignite Store – enjoy your coffee, tea, or water knowing you’ve been a great support!
- For every additional $100 you raise, your name will go into a draw for an additional item from our Ignite Store. Raise $300, get entered 3 times.
- If you raise $500, your name will also go into a draw for a brand-new Chromebook! Raise $500, you get 5 entries for great Ignite merch AND a chance to win a Chromebook.
